  GOALS are an essential part of living and Ambition without direction is like a ship at sea without a rudder! And if we have an ounce of ambition going for us we then set necessary objectives for our lives. Although we are often inspired to establish goals for ourselves, time and events often obscure and push our aims off the mountain that we are climbing, and we begin to wonder without direction until our goals are somehow reestablished. Storms of life often seem to be the factor in helping us to bring our goals back into view and so it was with this woman who really got lost and found her way back by the touch of a storm!

Faith Michaelson, a 26-year-old Oregon woman, became the victim of amnesia. For three months she wandered, lost in a mental fog, not knowing her own name, where she lived or where she even belonged. Then one dark and stormy night something rather strange took place. It was during a severe thunderstorm, where lightening flashed and thunder boomed all around her and it was like the fog had lifted, she suddenly began to gain her memory back! The vale of obscurity was lifted and she remembered who she was and where she was from. A Salem, Oregon, police officer said that the storm must have somehow jolted her memory back and awakened her back to reality!

How often the storms of life bring us back to our senses and assist us in returning back to our goals and bring direction once again. Storms in life might seem terrible and frightening at the time but they can very easily carry with them a complete renewal and a revival of our efforts to complete a worthy and honorable task…such as life itself! Our memories are the pictures we will decorate our futures with, may each of them be painted with the best of skill and carry with them the best captured moments. Strong and honorable goals will help us to create a gallery for our memories to be maintained and fondly cared for, so let the struggles of life help build the gallery and preserved the finest memories!
