The Lesson Of Stinky Camels |

As calm before the storm settled into the peaceful valley, the morning wind began to blow gently across the grassy plains while the invading Crusader army and its Mighty Horses waited for the command to begin the proud thundering charge unto a great VICTORY! As the commanders quieted their forces for the sound of the triumphant charge, the gentle morning breeze began to carry with it the unusually powerful aroma of thousands of combat ready desert camels. The smell slowly intensified and the many powerful but sensitive European horses began to snort, stomp and rear their mighty heads as the unseen cloud of stench drifted into the invaders horse's nostrils. Unexpectedly, the invading army which prided its strength in horsemanship and large proud beast found their Horses suddenly turning in confusion and began to run uncontrollably in all directions! Lo and behold, it turned out that the unprepared horses had never seen such creatures, nor smelled any such stanch like unto these filthy desert camels; snorting spit, dripping sweat and expelling every possible animal fume. The Great War Horses apparently could not stand the terrible stench of such horrid creatures, and became frightened out of their horse wits! Thus the well armed invasion attempt was crushed and came to nothing…not by force of battle, but by miserable STINKY CAMELS! The first lesson here is that our endeavors better be nothing less than honorable! We should then understand that opposition will always be on the path of accomplishment! Thus, those who seek achievement must be prepared (if at all possible) to not only face the challenge but be aware of the possible unforeseen difficulties which might be carried on the winds of fate. So often it is the little unexpected circumstances which determine Defeat or Victory on the battlefield of life. Yes, in some way or another, we will all come into the wind of STINKY CAMELS, perhaps sending our STRENGTH running in retreat from our GOALS! Yet, by such events we might learn from life's little lessons in THE "Fickle Hand of Fate" or in this case, the Stinky Stench of Camel Stuff! Contact Author at: |

In about the year 1000 an ancient army of ruthless Catholic Crusaders from Europe thought to invade and conquer Syria on its way to the city of Jerusalem. They moved their invading hordes into a great battle position, headed by hundreds of much esteemed Knights along with their Great array of Horses.
