Flying Could Be A Ratty Deal |

After an hour of very intense and irritating listening, he suddenly recognized that sound as the gnawing of a rat. Wondering what its sharp teeth were cutting through, he suddenly realized with horror that it might be an electric wire. "Hey maybe that is why these instruments are acting a little funny," he wondered out loud to his co-pilot. Then he remembered that rodents can't survive at high altitudes. And therewith, out of precaution he took the plane up! Immediately they began climbing higher and higher, until finally they had to put on their oxygen masks. Soon the gnawing sound ceased, and When they finally landed he searched behind the instrument panel and sure enough he did find a DEAD RAT! Is this Story True or Bull? "Just my luck" the pilot spoke out. "These instruments have got to start acting funny as soon as I reach half way to heaven!" After the pilot Joel Berukov had been flying the plane for over two hours, he with his extra pilots' sense began to feel some sort of trouble, but what? And so with his refined senses he began to listen closer to a strange noise from behind the instrument panel. That noise was so familiar, "What was it," he asked his co-pilot as he strained his ear over the hum of the engines. |
