The first time ancient man ever rubbed two sticks together, TECHNOLOGY was born, and has not stopped sparking ever since.

Communications have been around for a long time; remember those smoke signals in those westerns? And how about that sign language the early explorers would use to deliver the big hello from the white king around the other side of the world? However, here is a man ahead of his time, he was the first man to invent the GPS {Global Positioning System} and he didn't even fight when the big guys took him over.

This is about the man who never got lost! They called him the "Dove man" Golly Me Akfindme was his name, a guide in the vast waste lands of the vast North African deserts, Sahara and all. There weren't to many men who would adventure across these waste lands without either taking Golly with them or at least consulting with him before they began their long unimaginable trek into desolation, not if they wanted to live!

Golly was no Dummy, but would offer advice to those who asked, but he never would tell all his secrets; and his best one was that he carried a few good homing pigeons along with his baggage. When things got tough and stars were dimmed and men became disorientated in the vastness of nowhere, good old Golly would take a long walk as if searching for signs and once off on his own he would release one of his doves or pigeons. The bird had a fine string attached to its leg and it would slowly circle and then begin to fly towards the direction of home. Golly would watch the string stream behind the dove and mark this direction and thereby know where he was. Thus, Golly was able to determine directions by the pigeon's flight towards home and so never lost his way.

With his well developed senses and the aid of his pigeons, Golly was able to know where he was at all times and became the most famous guide in the east.

So we now have the "Golly's Pigeon System" or better known today as the GPS! Technology has been around for ages, but this prideful generation just does not want to give credit where credit is due!
