YOU JUST CAN'T HIDE!

 Warmer weather had finally arrived, the spring rains had turned to blue sky and everything was coming up roses! Mr. John Sneakerton had that warm weather urge to get outside and work in his garden and he was enjoying the outdoor work in the sun when unexpectedly, all things changed! For suddenly an object fell out of the sky and THUDDED into his lawn, just inches from where he was kneeling and plucking weeds! After he got up from his shock and crawled over to the edge of this three foot by eight foot hole in his lawn he peered down into the five foot deep pit and saw an unusual object at the bottom. This for sure was an unusual object, for it turned out to be just slightly larger than a small object, it was A 1000 POUND BOMB TO BE EXACT!

It just so happened that a military jet plane was making its turn high above and for some strange reason, unknown to the pilot or the weapons technician , the bomb was released and fell some 30, 000 feet burying itself five feet into the back yard of John Sneakerton, just missing him barely by an inch! The military went searching for their bomb but "shook up" and angry Sneakerton had already called the police! The news media got hold of the event and went to investigate the strange scene. The story ended up on the national evening News and Mr. Sneakerton became the "survivor" and news maker of the day. Several days later, the police came back to Sneakerton's house and arrested him for several warrants, jumping bail, and embezzlement charges. It turned out that Sneakerton was not really Sneakerton, and it was found out that he had previously swindled some people out of very large sums of their favorite monies. And purely by chance, one of his victims had seen him on the National News and reported this from three states away. Sneakerton was arrested, tried, found guilty and went away to prison. The moral of this tale, is just like the title says, "You Just Can't Hide!"

Very seldom does life let you get away with mistakes, dishonesty or acts of crime. No matter how far you might run to hide from the pursuit of justice, life seems to somehow keep tabs on you, especially if you got some kind of guilt hanging on to your life. There might be a few who think they get away with breaking of the law, but somewhere down the line it all catches up with you. Maybe not equal to John Sneakerton and his visiting 1000 pound bomb, but just remember, unless your mighty lucky, life's justice is gonna hunt you down. Better to live good and stay free, rather than living life always looking over your shoulder....THUD!
