Lasting Friendships!

 The early Spanish explorers of the 14th and 15th centuries who first entered Peru, found huge impressive buildings and incredible walls that may have been standing for as long as 2,000 years. These ancient Inca structures were built of hand hewn rocks, (cut with other stones) of many various sizes and shapes; Some were THREE sided, some were FOUR sided, and others SEVEN sided. Without the use of mortar, they were fitted together so perfectly that they have stood for many centuries, even through great shaking earthquakes. Many of the stones are so well fitted, one cannot slide a thin knife blade between them. One of the most amazing features of these great standing walls is their ability to flex and bend under the forces of earthquakes, not unfamiliar to this land. The unique flexibility within these walls is derived from the various shaped stones, interlocked as sockets, giving it the ability to rise, flex and bend when the earth rolls and shifts under it!

Everyone who desires true friendships might do well to ponder the inner-structure and lasting stability engineered into these ancient walls, and follow suit in their relationships within family and friendships. Every human is unique and very different, none are the same. For time has carved each individual very much original. Lasting friendships have the ability to accept each others differences yet hold together, enduring the forces of time. If people could accept the rare individuality within each character, their bond might endure the many changes and go on....LASTING!

Friendships are one of life's most beautiful experiences! All lasting friendships must be carefully fitted and bound together within a commonly accepted design, able to adapt to forces and change. A brittle and rigid relationship will have a very difficult time enduring unforeseen stresses of everyday life. Friendships in themselves, are hewn out of purpose, reason, circumstances, events and exist as a prerequisite to participation in the wonderful bond of Family and in the greatness of FRIENDSHIP!
