The Real Ape Concern

Three Apes were once dining at a jungle feast in a grove of great coconut trees and were discussing some serious news they had heard to be true…What do you think?

"Now listen here you two Apes, this is something that cannot be true," the elder Ape declared to his younger friends.

"Do you think that humans descended from our pure and orderly race?"

Old Timer Ape swagged his head with no as the answer and went on jabbering, "Why, it's simply an outrage and shocking, a terrible disgrace, someone is lying to their entire race. They really got to be more than thick and stupid to believe such phony tradition and this is now their religion."

Now all three of them in harmony were shaking their great heads back and forth as second great Ape began his dismay, "Who ever heard of an Ape deserting his wife?  Leave babies starve and ruin its life?  And have you ever known of a mother Ape to leave her darling, with a stranger to dwell?  Their human babies are handed around like banana peels; from one to another and scarce ever know the love of a mother."

Third great Ape took his turn and declared, "And I've never known an Ape so selfish to be as to build a big fence around the coconut tree so other Apes can't get a wee taste, but would let all the coconuts here go to waste. Why, if I'd put a fence around this coconut tree, starvation would force you to steal from me. Then soon, we'd be on the run, having to steel a gun, buy a bomb and build an army and kill for fun!"

Elder Ape thus proclaimed, "And here is another thing an Ape won't ever do; seek a bootlegger's shanty and get in a stew, carouse and go on a whoopee, disgracing his race, his name and his life, then  madly stagger home and beat up his wife. Which of us would be so ignorant as to send our children out to roam in gangs, terrorize the jungle and kill innocent neighbors?  Who of us would give our lives over to everything accept that which was necessary?  What Ape or any of our Monkey cousins would ever be so cruel to one another, and so strongly hate creation and strive to destroy the whole earth with strange devices?  Who has placed such an outrage into these stupid humans, as to think they are all-mighty?"

"Yep," spoke second great Ape, "They advertise this all without shame, without concern and all the humans love hate, and they call this all a pleasure and make a big fuss out of nothing. They are trying to cut down all our fine trees, turn the earth into deserts and change the face of all that is good. They pollute the oceans and feed the fish to cats and dogs and actually eat huge hogs! Now do you think we ever for an instant had that idea in our brains?  No, no, we would punish even our own if one did."

Then third Ape spoke for the last time, "Oh my, have you heard of their leaders, O such eaters and awful liars too! Where did they breed from, where have they come and when will they be gone?"

With this old great Ape stood and shook the tree in fury and fright, and yelled out to the heavens, "I tell you now, all dear Apes and Monkey's, those  foolish humans descended from something, but NOT FROM US, NO, NO…NEVER! And please, may someone inform them to stop using us in their family trees!"
